Our trek from Salkantay Trek 4 Days to Machu Picchu is one of the famous walks in Cusco- Peru you will be accompanied by our native guide who speaks English,Spanish and Quechua and will also teach you our customs in the salkantay pass. and the best alternative route after Inca Trail Classic to reach Machu Picchu. The first day we pick you up from your hotel at 4:30 to 5:00am to drive for 3 hours until Mollepata town where we will meet with muleteers and horses, also we will have breakfast here. Then we will drive 45 minutes more until arriving the hiking point Challancancha.
This day not will be so hard because most of the route will be on flat surface, during the first 3 hours you will observe unique Peruvian Andean landscapes, high snow capped mountains, streams and dwarf forests of the sierra, after lunch and resting time we will continue hiking 2 more hours until arriving to our first campsite Soraypampa. (15:00 pm).This day tourists will be able to go to Umantay Lake, turquoise lagoon, surrounded with an imposing snow capped mountain that will make you feel you are in a magic
In the morning your hiking crew will wake you up early with a hot drink, served to you at your tent. This will be the longest and hardest day, we will uphill 4 hours where we will see amazing mountains; flora and fauna until arriving to the Salkantay pass (4600 m.a.s.l).Where we will have a guided tour about andean worldview currently and at Inca’s time, we will have lunch and resting time. We will continue hiking 4 more hours downhill, through beautiful streams and high jungle landscapes until arriving to our second campsite Chaullay.
After a delicious and nutritive breakfast, we will begin hiking. During the first part of the route we will be able to observe different kinds of plants such as: bromeliads, orchids and ferns. The path will be intercalated between flat surfaces, ups and downs until arriving Playa Sahuayaku town where a car will be waiting to take us 2 hours to the town of Hidroelectrica, where we will have lunch and resting. Then we will continue hiking 3 hours next to the train railway until arriving to the town of Aguas Calientes, where we will spend the night in an accommodation.
Today we arrive at the long-awaited end of our hike, one of the New 7 Wonders of the Modern World and UNESCO World Heritage Site: Machu Picchu! We’ll wake up early after a refreshing night at our lodge to beat the crowds to the top of Machu Picchu and enjoy its serenity under the soft morning light. The entrance control to Machu Picchu is open from 06:00 am to 17:00 pm. Here we will have a 2-hour guided tour through this incredible ancient city. Be amazed by the engineering ingenuity of the Incas, which was so ahead of its time and which is still partially a mystery today! Without having modern tools or even steel and iron to work with, the people who built this city were brilliant at organizing this community in a beautiful and sustainable way on the side of a mountain, even carrying water through canals through its streets to that people would use it. wear.

If you come down early enough, you can have lunch (not included but can be added to the package), visit the town’s hot springs, go to a museum or shop at the artisan market. We will take our train trip at 16:22 hrs (subject to availability) to Ollantaytambo. A private bus will pick up our group and drop you off in Cusco at approximately 8:00 p.m.
