We offer this exciting trip, designed for adventure lovers like you to explore the Andean mountains of Cusco Peru. We provide daily trips to ride ATV and visit Moray and the Maras salt mines. To start the day, we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco and provide transportation to our first destination Maras.
We will pass through the Andean towns and the picturesque city of Maras. This colonial city preserves mansions and churches from the time of the Spanish conquest but is also surrounded by typical and rustic buildings, where locals dedicated to agriculture live.
One of the main attractions of Moray are the gigantic natural holes in the surface of the land, which the Incas used to successfully cultivate Andean seeds. On our trip we will also visit the salt mines of Maras, where the local population continues to work salt like their ancestors.
Join this adventure of ATV rides through the Sacred Valley of the Incas combined with visits to two of the most important sites: the Salt mines Maras and Moray. This tour leaves Cusco and goes directly to our base in Maras (approximately 60 minutes of travel) where you will carefully receive instructions on how to drive the ATV safely and the equipment you will need for the tour. Once our entire group is ready, we begin our adventure traveling the paths that cross the Sacred Valley, surrounded by amazing landscapes and sacred snow-capped mountains until we reach the archaeological site of Moray to have a quick visit with your guide inside the ruins. . After the first visit we will continue driving the quads and having more fun until we get closer to the road that will take us to the Salt Mines. For safety reasons, we will park the quads and take the van to visit the Maras Salt Mines, before getting back on the our quads to continue our adventure back to base. This is a half-day tour that can be done in the morning or afternoon. For the morning schedule, your pickup will be around 06:40 – 07:10 am, depending on the location of your hotel and we will arrive back in Cusco around 1 – 1:30 pm. For the afternoon schedule, your pickup will be around 12:50 – 01:00 pm and we will arrive back in Cusco around 7:30 pm.
