Your 4 day adventure in Peru wraps up in the delightful town of Aguas Calientes, where you can explore the historic sanctuary of Machu Picchu, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Your adventure begins with hotel pickup in Cusco around 7:00 AM. We drive through the Sacred Valley of the Incas, passing scenic Andean landscapes, traditional villages, and the beautiful mountains. After approximately 3½ hours, we reach Abra Malaga (4,316 MASL), where we begin our mountain biking adventure downhill for about 3½ to 4 hours.
Along the route, you will see rivers, streams, and agricultural fields, passing by the archaeological site of Huamanmarca. The trek ends in the town of Santa Maria, where you will stay overnight in the Eco Terra Lodge, a comfortable local lodge.
After breakfast at 6:00 AM, we begin trekking along the river and jungle trails. The hike includes a moderate climb (1.5 hours) to a viewpoint with panoramic views of the Sacred Valley and canyon.
We follow part of the original Inca Trail, passing through the village of Quellomayo, and stop for a delicious lunch. After a short rest, we continue trekking along ancient trails to Santa Teresa, surrounded by tropical forests, rivers, and coffee and coca plantations.
After breakfast at 7:00 AM, we continue exploring the jungle trails toward Machu Picchu. Adventurers have the option to experience an exciting zipline adventure over the valley for around two hours before rejoining the group at the Hidroeléctrica, where lunch is served.
After lunch, we trek along the railway, passing waterfalls, coca and coffee farms, and lush jungle landscapes. By late afternoon, we arrive at Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Pueblo), where you will stay in a comfortable hotel with hot water and Wi-Fi. In the evening, enjoy dinner together and optional access to the hot springs for a relaxing soak.
Wake up early for the long-awaited Machu Picchu experience, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy a 2-hour guided tour through the mystical Inca city, learning about the ingenuity of Inca engineering and their sustainable construction techniques.
After the tour, you have the option to hike Huayna Picchu (50 min) or Machu Picchu Mountain (3 hours) for breathtaking panoramic views. There is also time to explore the hot springs, artisan market, or local museum in Aguas Calientes.
Later, transfer back to Cusco via train and private bus, arriving at your hotel with memories of an unforgettable adventure.
