TERMS AND CONDITIONS
By booking or participating in any tour, including related products or services, with Peru Green Travel (“PGT” or the “Tour Operator”), you agree to the following Terms and Conditions (“Terms”).
These Terms represent a legally binding agreement between you and PGT and are intended to ensure the smooth operation of your tour and the satisfaction of all parties involved. It is important to read and understand these Terms before booking or participating in any tour with PGT. They include important information regarding payment policies, cancellation and refund procedures, health and safety requirements, and other key considerations.
By accepting these Terms, you acknowledge that you have read and understood all information provided and that you are willing to comply with all relevant policies and regulations. If you have any questions or concerns about the Terms or your tour, please do not hesitate to contact us for more information.
At PGT, we are committed to providing you with the best possible tourism experience and look forward to welcoming you on one of our tours soon.
RESERVATIONS
When you book a tour with a tour operator or travel agent and pay the applicable deposit amount, a contract is created and your reservation is confirmed.
It is important to carefully review your written confirmation for any incorrect or incomplete information and notify the tour operator or authorized agent immediately.
To ensure a smooth trip, it is essential to ensure that the names on the reservation match those on the corresponding passport. Also, please note that the deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances, and no exceptions can be made.
To enter the Inca Trail and Machu Picchu, you must present the original passport you used to make your reservation. If you have renewed your passport since booking, you must bring both your expired passport and a new, valid passport for entry. Failure to present the required documentation may result in denial of entry.
If you are eligible for a student discount, the only acceptable form of identification is your university ID card with a clear expiration date that matches the year of your trip. Identity cards with an expiration date in the following year, even if still valid, will not be accepted by the Peruvian government. You must provide a copy of this card at the time of booking.
At Peru Green Travel, we strive to make your travel experience as pleasant as possible. By following these guidelines, you can help ensure a smooth and successful trip.
CANCELLATIONS
At Peru Green Travel, we understand that unexpected events may arise that require the cancellation of your trip. However, we regret to inform you that your deposit is 100% non-refundable, and there are no exceptions to this policy.
Please note that if you cancel your tour as the start date approaches, you may be required to pay additional costs. This is because our out-of-pocket expenses for organizing the tour are non-refundable, and we are responsible for ensuring that all costs are covered.
We understand that some clients may request cancellations for medical reasons or other unforeseen circumstances.
However, we regret to inform you that we do not accept medical notes or any other documentation as exceptions to our cancellation policy.
We strive to provide you with a high-quality travel experience and assure you that our cancellation policy is designed to ensure that all aspects of the tour are properly planned and executed. Thank you for your understanding.
LETTER OF AGREEMENT
By this letter of agreement, I acknowledge that adventure travel involves inherent risks and dangers, including those associated with traveling in mountainous terrain, remote locations without medical facilities, and the forces of nature. I agree to assume all risks associated with the tour and agree that Peru Green Travel S.A.C., its employees, or agents will not be liable for any injury, illness, damage, or loss that may occur during the tour.
I understand that delays or changes in the itinerary may occur due to unforeseen circumstances, such as weather conditions, accidents, or acts of nature, and that the tour operator reserves the right to modify or cancel travel arrangements as necessary in the interest of the clients.
I agree to respect the customs of the local population and wildlife in the areas we will visit and to conduct myself in the best interest of the group’s safety. I also declare that I do not have any physical or psychological problems or illnesses that could affect other participants during the tour.
By this agreement, I confirm that I have read and understood the information provided in the briefing and agree to follow the guide’s instructions.
I acknowledge that Perú Green Travel S.A.C. is not responsible for any lost or forgotten belongings.
Please note that once your reservation is confirmed, deposits are non-refundable. If you need to cancel your tour, the table below describes the fees that will be due according to our cancellation policy:
If you cancel within 72 hours of the start date, you will be required to pay 60% of the total tour cost.
If you cancel within 48 hours of the start date, you will be required to pay 80% of the total tour cost.
If you cancel within 24 hours of your hike, you will be required to pay 100% of the total tour cost.
We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise that require the cancellation of your tour, and we regret any inconvenience this may cause. However, please note that our cancellation policy is designed to ensure that all parties involved are treated fairly and that any out-of-pocket expenses incurred by the tour operator are covered.
We recommend that you carefully review our cancellation policy before booking to ensure you are comfortable with these terms. If you have any questions or concerns about the policy or your tour, please do not hesitate to contact us for more information.
INCA TRAIL AND MACHU PICCHU TICKETS AND PERMITS
Please note that Inca Trail permits and Machu Picchu tickets are issued in your name and cannot be transferred to anyone else under any circumstances. Once a permit has been purchased, it is not possible to change the dates, and the permit is non-refundable and non-transferable. If you cancel your trek, you will forfeit your deposit.
Please note that this is a Peruvian government regulation and not a policy established by PGT or any agency.
In the event that the Inca Trail is closed for safety reasons, PGT will offer an alternative trek as a replacement. If you booked your permit with a student ID, be sure to carry this card during the trek.
Park rangers require you to show this ID to enter the trail. Failure to present a valid student ID will result in denial of entry.
At PGT, we strive to ensure your trip is as pleasant and hassle-free as possible. Please review this information carefully and contact us if you have any further questions or concerns.
MEDICAL INFORMATION
You must inform PGT about any medical problems or allergies you may have. You must be in good physical health, and if your health is in doubt, you must consult a doctor. If you are over 70 years of age, you must provide us with a current medical certificate of good health.
You are responsible for evaluating whether a Tour is suitable for you. You must consult your doctor to confirm your fitness to travel and participate in any planned activities. You must seek your doctor’s advice regarding vaccinations and medical precautions. The Tour Operator does not provide medical advice.
It is your responsibility to evaluate the risks and requirements of each aspect of the Tour based on your unique circumstances, limitations, fitness level, and medical requirements.
PGT reserves the right to deny you permission to travel or participate in any aspect of a Tour at any time and at your own risk and expense when the Tour Operator determines that your physical or mental condition makes you unfit to travel or that you pose a danger to yourself or others. Pregnancy is considered a medical condition and must be disclosed to the Tour Operator at the time of booking. The Tour Operator may refuse to transport pregnant women over 24 weeks pregnant.
The tour operator may refuse to transport anyone with certain medical conditions if reasonable accommodations or alternatives cannot be arranged.
It is strongly recommended that you purchase travel insurance to protect you in the event of a medical emergency or trip cancellation.
